A Christmas tree or a poinsettia for recyclable materials
from 07.12 to 07.12
We invite everyone who cares about the environment to take part in the ecological campaign “A tree for recyclable materials”.
On Saturday, December 7th from 10:00, in exchange for recyclable materials such as wastepaper and plastic bottles, you will be able to receive a Christmas tree or a poinsettia (a poinsettia).
To collect Christmas plants, just bring 2 kg of wastepaper or 20 plastic bottles. Hurry up, because the number of green gifts is limited.
Raw materials can be brought to a specially marked location in the Retail Park at the Auchan Mikołów Shopping Centre at Cieszyńska 2 in Mikołów.
The collected raw materials will be collected in containers provided by REMONDIS, a company specializing in recycling and waste management. The gifts, i.e. Christmas tree seedlings, will be delivered by the Katowice Forest District State Forests, and poinsettias – plants that will bring a festive atmosphere to your home – will be delivered by Makadi, the owner of the BricoMarche chain in Świętochłowice and Bytom.
Why is it worth taking part in our campaign?
Returning secondary raw materials, such as wastepaper or plastic bottles, is of great importance for environmental protection. Plastic is a material that decomposes in nature for hundreds of years, polluting the environment, water and posing a threat to animals. Every kilogram of plastic or tonne of wastepaper collected means less waste going to landfills, less pollution in the atmosphere and less consumption of natural resources.
Recycling secondary raw materials also helps reduce greenhouse gas emissions and reduces energy demand, which consequently translates into a reduction in the carbon footprint. In this way, through simple actions, we can take care of our planet together, and at the same time receive something valuable – a plant that will enrich our surroundings and improve air quality.
We encourage you to participate in this unique initiative. Thanks to activities such as “A Tree for Raw Materials”, we can create a better, greener and cleaner environment together!
