Take care of your health and get a mammogram

Mammography is the most sensitive test in the prevention of breast cancer. It allows you to detect changes that cannot be observed during breast self-examination. This is important because early detection of cancer enables immediate, effective treatment and almost guarantees full recovery.

If irregularities are detected, participation in the program ensures a quick path to diagnosis and treatment, and thanks to constant monitoring, the network of clinics conducting tests improves contact with facilities conducting further diagnostics and speeds up possible treatment.

We invite you for mammography examinations

Mammography can be performed in a special mammobus, which will be available in front of our Shopping Centre on Friday, April 19th, from 1:00 p.m. to 3:10 p.m. To take advantage of the tests, you must register in advance by calling 22 880 90 80 ext. 3.

As part of the Breast Cancer Prevention Program financed by the National Health Fund, women aged 45 to 74 can benefit from free examination:

• every 24 months if they have not previously been diagnosed with malignant breast cancer
• every 12 months if they have completed breast cancer treatment and there is a 5-year post-treatment monitoring process
• every 12 months if they are on adjuvant hormone therapy (HT) 5 years after breast cancer surgery

The program excludes women covered by “Care for families with a high, hereditary risk of breast cancer or ovarian cancer” or “Comprehensive oncological care for a beneficiary with breast cancer”.

To confirm your eligibility for the test, please prepare your ID card before calling. It is worth taking photos or CDs from previous mammograms with you to the examination, unless they were performed in the LUX MED laboratory.
